Coasters Gain New Years Revenge

There was to be no repeat of Boxing Day’s victory as The Coasters inflicted revenge in the New Year’s Day return fixture.

Chorley started without top-scorer Jason Walker, who has been ruled out for up to 8 weeks with a knee injury sustained against Fylde on Boxing Day and finished without Marcus Carver, who was stretched off midway through the second half.  At the time of writing Carver was still in hospital under assessment.  Updates will be published on his condition as soon as they are known, following our social media channels for immediate updates.

Adam Blakeman opened the scoring with a superb strike seconds after the restart, but Dom Collins levelled, Dan Bradley added a second and Andy Bond rubbed salt into the wound late on.

Next up for the Magpies is an away trip to seventh placed Brackley Town on Saturday 7th January then on Tuesday 10th we make the shorter journey to The Shay to face ninth placed FC Halifax Town.
