Teague Heads Magpies Closer To Play-Offs

A first half header from captain Andy Teague secured a Bank Holiday six-point haul as Chorley edged closed to securing a place in the end-of-season play-offs.

The Magpies had to do without the services of central defensive pair Stephen Jordan and Kieran Charnock and almost lost keeper Ritchie Branagan midway through the first half.  Branagan was able to soldier on through the pain barrier but was pertected by the outfield players who defended superbly throughout to record a 21st clean sheet of the season.

Next up is the long haul to Cheltenham to face Gloucester City on Saturday when, if results go our way, a play-off place could be confirmed, click here for travel information.
