Magpies Make Play-Off Place

Despite losing two-nil at home in the final league game of the season against FC Halifax Town, out record over the previous 41 league games was enough to secure 6th place and with it the final play-off spot.

Of course, had Darlington not fallen foul of the ground grading rules if would be the Quakers who would be entertaining Kidderminster Harriers on Wednesday evening; but it isn’t and we have to take full advantage of the opportunity that stands before us.

The semi-final line-up sees us take on runners up Kidderminster, while third placed Halifax face Salford City.

The first leg’s take place on Wednesday evening with ourselves and Salford both at home and the return second leg ties take place next Sunday.

The match arrangements for Wednesday’s first leg against the Harriers will be the same as was in place today.  The match is not all ticket with turnstiles at both ends of the ground open and there will be no segregation in place with supporters from both clubs free to use all Victory Park’s facilities.

A full report from today's match will follow shortly.
