MAGPIES THROUGH TO PLAY-OFF FINAL

They say lightening doesn’t strike twice, but Adam Roscoe does!  Two years after his now legendary 96th minute overhead kick equaliser sent that seasons semi-final against Boston United into extra time, up stepped the man from Standish, this time in the 93rd minute, to net the winner against Kidderminster Harriers.

Not the spectacular goal of York Street, but rather than a leveller this was a winner, sending Chorley through to the final where we face FC Halifax Town at The Shay next Saturday.

Marcus Carver netted the opening in the first half that squared the tie then up stepped Roscoe with another late, memorable goal to seal the trip to Yorkshire to face the Shaymen who defeated Salford three-nil in a penalty shootout after the tie finished level with both matches ending one-nil
