PREVIEW | Harrogate Town

The Magpies have begun this season with a win, a draw and a defeat within the first seven days and it doesn’t get any easier as they face an encounter with Harrogate Town on Tuesday night.

With Chorley lying in tenth place after three matches, Town sit fourth thanks to two wins and a draw.  Consecutive victories over Nuneaton Town and North Ferriby United followed by a 2-2 draw with Stockport County over the weekend have given them seven points from a possible nine.

It’s another full time squad and a team tipped to be near the top come the end of the season which Matt Jansen’s side will have to take on and Jansen knows they’ll be in for a tough game away from home.

“Yeah they’re a full time side and we’ll have to play on their 4G pitch.  They’re spending the money so they’ll be a tough side to break down and beat.”

But it’s just another game in what is a league that is getting stronger and stronger, year by year.  Jansen added “with teams being full time it’s very difficult to compete.  But we’ll go there with confidence, we’ll go there with a game plan and we’ll be fully prepared and hopefully we’ll get something out of the game.”

The match kicks off at 7:45pm and if you’re unable to attend you can follow all the action on our Twitter feed by following @ChorleyFC, and Facebook by searching for the Chorley FC page from 7pm.
