PREVIEW | Bradford Park Avenue

The Magpies face their second match in 48 hours on Monday with a short trip over to Yorkshire to face Bradford Park Avenue on Bank Holiday Monday writes Harry Lyons.

A much improved performance on Saturday against top of the table Brackley Town will give Matt Jansen’s men confidence heading into the game at the Horsfall Stadium, having kept their second clean sheet of the season in the 0-0 draw.

Bradford will be full of confidence themselves however, having scored four goals on Saturday in their impressive 4-1 away win at AFC Telford United. Goals from Luca Havern, Tom Boyes, Adam Nowakowski and Oli Johnson ensured Mark Bower’s men took maximum points from Telford and will now hope to put in a similar performance against their home fans on Monday.

Chorley manager Matt Jansen claimed Saturday to Monday matches are difficult for his side, but said it will be the same for the opposition heading into the match saying:

“It can be tricky for us, but it’s tricky for them as well. Whether they’ve got a bigger squad than us, who knows, but Saturday to Monday games are tough for any side.”

The match on Monday kicks off at 3pm, with the supporter’s coach leaving the ground at 12.45pm. If you’re unable to attend you can follow all the action on our Twitter feed @chorleyfc and Facebook by searching for the Chorley FC page from 2pm.
