REPORT | Magpies secure first home win

Two Josh Wilson strikes in the first half secured the Magpies theeir first home win of the season, catapulting the club upto 14th place in the table, just three points behind 7th placed Darlington in the play-off places, our opponents on Tuesday night.

As stated, Darlington are our next opponents when the visit us on Tuesday evening then we have two away games to follow; we travel to North Ferriby United next Saturday then three days later head north to Blyth Spartans.

Before all this action takes place we'll find out who we will face in the FA Cup on Monday when the draw for the second qualifying round takes place.  At this stage all National League North and South sides enter the competions and of our local rivals lower down the pyramid Lancaster City, Atherton Collieries, Droylsden and Ashton Athletic are amongst the sides already through.
