PLAYER MOVEMENTS | Ashton goes out on loan to Kendal

Chorley goalkeeper Sam Ashton has gone out on loan to Evo-Stik Division One North side Kendal Town as he continues his rehabilitation from injury.

The 31-year-old was ruled out for the majoriy of the 2016-17 season after injuring his leg, and has only recently made his return. 

Ashton managed the full 90 minutes in Kendal's 1-1 draw with top of the table South Shields on Boxing Day.

In other news, midfielder Ian Black has been released from the Magpies following a short spell at the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium. Everyone at Chorley wishes Ian all the best for the future.
