Chorley v FC United match arrangements

After extensive discussions between both clubs, the Police and the local authorities we are pleased to announce that the match between ourselves and FC United of Manchester on Saturday November 24th will be treated as any other game with no special arrangements in place, and kick-off at 3pm.

Supporters of both clubs will be able to pay on the gate and there will be no crowd segregation in place.

This fixture, which will always attract a larger than normal attendance, suffered last season as a consequence of the crowd trouble that marred the match against Chester in February 2010.  However friendly rivalry between the two clubswas further endorsed by last season’s play-off semi-final when over 2754 attended without any problems.  As a result all parties have agreed to making this fixture “normal” once again.

However, we would advise that all supporters to get to Victory Park as early as possible to avoid congestion at the turnstiles.

In the second two goals in two minutes turned the game around as Ashton went in front and moved up to second and send the Magpies down to sixth.

The game saw loan signing Chris Blackburn make his debut, but Andy Teague missed the match after injuring his knee in the pre-match warm-up, Andy Russell moving up from the bench to replace tha captain.
