Paul WOOLCOTT

Midfielder

Paul joined the Magpies in late October 2013 from league rivals Marine, who he had joined in the summer.

A title winner with Sam Ashton at Skelmersdale United last season, Paul is an attacking midfielder who has an eye for goal.

Simon WILES

Midfielder

Joined the club in the summer of 2013 from Conference North side Barrow.

Has played in the Scottish Premier Division for Dunfirmline Athletic, but a series of knee injuries hampered the progress of his career.  Works full time for Blackpool FC in their junior coaching team.

Liam DAVIES

Defender

18-year-old central defender who made the step up from the Darwen Aldridge Academy side in March 2013.

Midfielder

16-year-old goalscoring midfielder.  Joined the Magpies from the Academy side in March 2013.

Adam CAUNCE

Goalkeeper

 

19-year-old local lad who signed for the Magpies at the end of March 2013 after progressing through the Darwen Aldridge Academy side.

Kieran WALMSLEY

Midfielder   |   Right Back

Joined the Magpies during the summer of 2012 from Kendal Town.

A dead-ball specialist, Kieran is comfortable playing anywhere across the defence or midfield.

In 2010/11 he was Kendal’s top scorer with 17 goals and collected the managers player of the year award and signed a 2-year contract with the Cumbrians. Last season he joined Blue Square North promotion challengers Altrincham on loan and soon cemented his place in the Moss Lane side.

*** After a wretched two seasons through injury Kieran left the club at the end of 2013/14 to rejoin Kendal Town

Adam MITTER

Defender

Joined the club in December 2013.

Can play at either right back or central defence.  He played at youth team level for Preston and Blackpool before being snapped up by Scottish Premier side Hibernian at the age of 19.

After just over 12 months with the Hibees he moved on to Kettering Town, Warrington Town then played lower league football in Sweden, captaining Ånge IF to a league title before returning to England with Skrill North side Barrow earlier this season.

Alex MEANEY

Midfielder

A left footed attacking midfielder, Alex joined the Magpies from Stockport County in August 2013.

A Myerscough College graduate, Alex played in the Evo-Stik League while he continued his studies before joined the Hatters in September 2012.

He spent a month on loan at Nantwich Town toward the end of the 2012/13 season.

Has also captained the England Colleges under 19’s squad at the Caput Mundi Roma Under 19′s Football competition and was selected “Player of the Tournament”.
