Ossett Albion 2-1 Chorley 10/04/2010

Saturday April 10th, 3pm

Relegated Albion trimphed over the Magpies in this game which had all the signs of an end of season affair from beginning to end.

Chris Smalley, Steve Burke and Alex Porter all returned to the starting line-up following Wednesday's draw with Clitheroe, but they could spark a flat game into life!

The opening exchanges were dominate by Chorley and David Thompson almost headed the visitors into the lead, heading just wide from an Alex Porter corner

Albion took the lead against the run of play with a soft goal, but an equally big blow was the loss of skipper Wayne Maden with a facial injury; he was replaced with Jamie Nay.

Chorley equalised when Aiden Kirkbride played Chris Amadi in, and the big man sped forward before smashing the ball past the keeper from 16 yards.

Lol McMahon saw red when the referee took exception to his comments and he bannished to the other side of the concrete wall from where he was originally stood!

Albon won the game with an unchallenged header from a free-kick and despite their best efforts the Magpies could bring the scores level.
