Salford City 3-0 Chorley 15/04/2010

Thursday April 15th  7.45pm

A depleted Chorley squad crashed to defeat against Salford, stretching our win less run to five matches

With David Thompson and Wayne Maden both missing Stuart Howson returned from injury to partner Chris Smalley in the centre of defence, but it wasn't enough to prevent City moving above the Magpies in the league table.

Foster opened the scoring on 10 minutes with a shot that curled out of the reach of keeper Zac Hibbert for the only goal of the half.

Neville extended the lead just after the restart and Giggs completed the scoring on 70 minutes.

Chris Amadi had the best of Chorley's chances; hitting the crossbar in the first half and forcing the home keeper into a smart save with the score at two-nil.

XI: Zac Hibbert, Jamie Nay, Tom Walker, Stuart Howson, Chris Smalley, Reece Kelly, Lee Shillito, Aiden Kirkbride, Steve Burke, Chris Amadi, Alex Porter

Subs: Danny Nolan, Craig Worrall

Att: 118

Goals: Steve Foster (10), Lee Neville (46), Rhodri Giggs (70)
