New season preparations continued at The Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium at The Magpies defeated a youthful Fleetwood Town side by two goals to one.
Max Cartwright, making a quick return to Chorley following his successful stint at the club at the end of last season, was the standout name for the visitors in a team made up of youth and trialists for the League One newcomers and it was the Cod Army that opened the scoring on three minutes when Deacon netted.
However Chorley recovered will and controlled the game there after and bagged two goals through Jack Dorney and Jake Cotterell before the interval.
After the break Chorley remained on top and both managers took the opportunity to give their squads a run out.
