PREVIEW | Development Squad Goes to Town

After a hattrick of wins at home in the Galaxy Lancashire League West, David Chadwick’s Development Squad are on the road for the first time this season as they travel to bottom club Ashton Town this Thursday.

The home ground is aptly named Victory Park with 2-1 wins against AFC Fylde and RIASA West and their recent 6-0 demolishing of Barnoldswick Town.  As a result the young Magpies currently occupy top spot in the league

Conversely, Ashton Town must be disappointed with no wins so far with a 6-0 loss at Workingon, an 8-0 defeat away at Barnoldswick Town, a 4-3 loss at AFC Darwen and Lancaster City putting 7 goals past the visitors with no return.

The lads will be confident going into the game which sees a 7.45pm kick off.

For any fans driving to the game, they should take the M6 south to Junction 24, Turn left onto A58 to Ashton-in-Makerfield. Continue through the traffic lights on the A58 towards Bolton.

After approximately three quarters of a mile, turn right onto Golborne Road. After 200 yards turn right into Edge Green Street and the ground is at bottom of street.
