IT would be three different goalscorers who would see the Magpies progress through to the fourth round of the Isuzu FA Trophy with a 3-2 win over Warrington Rylands.

Tom Carr would not take long to open the scoring for Chorley.

A delightful through ball by debutant Courtney Senior saw the forward take it around Luke Pilling and slot it home comfortably for the lead inside seven minutes.

However, with the wind against Chorley, Warrington Rylands used it to their advantage with a cross from the left-hand side that was whipped with pace onto the head of George Warning and brought them level ten minutes later.

Following Ryland's equaliser, both teams settled into the game, with the wind playing a big factor in the proceedings.

Just after the half-hour mark, there would be a goalmouth scramble. Mike Calveley would have the final attempt where he would turn and strike well, but Pilling would save comfortably.

In the 34th minute, the Magpies' sustained pressure was rewarded thanks to a perfect strike and a bit of fortune from Adam Henley.

Following the restart Carr would play a perfect ball across to Calveley who would be one one-on-one with the keeper but it would be a fine stop by Pilling to deny him.

The visitors would then get one back ten minutes after the restart, a similar goal to the first just in the other half, a cross from the right-hand side landed nicely on the head of Waring, who headed home again.

Following a freekick, Jack Sampson would put the Magpies back in front. With his back to the goal, he turned and finished it smartly at the near post, giving Chorley a well-deserved lead again.

20 minutes to go, and Brandon Powell came close to a goal-of-the-season contender. Using his pace well and some fancy footwork. the fullback got a shot away on his weaker right-foot. the ball then smashing against the top corner of the crossbar.

The Magpies then managed the remainder of the game smartly to secure their spot in the next round of the competition.

Chorley's next opponent in the league is Hereford on the 14th of December. The draw for the next round of the trophy is scheduled to take place on Monday.
