IT was a foggy evening at the Grant Store Victory Park stadium, where the points would be shared in a goalless draw against Peterborough Sports.
The Magpies took some time to settle into a rhythm, and there would be a moment from Michael Gash, who would clothesline Dubem Eze to stop a fantastic opportunity for Chorley.
On the half-hour mark, Joe Nolan would receive the ball from a free-kick and he would deliver a fine ball into the back post, which saw Kole Hall head it back across the six-yard box, but it would be scrambled away by the visitors.
Two minutes later, Nolan was at it again; playing a pass into Momodou Touray, who would play a delightful flick in behind for Eze, which then saw the loanee force a fine stop by Peter Crook in goal.
From the resulting corner, Gash would bring down Mark Eliis once again, but referee, Kavan Hurn waved the Magpies' appeals away.
Seven minutes before the break, Eze tested Crook again, and the goalkeeper parried it into the path of George Horbury, who was denied a certain goal by a Peterborough Sports defender who made a fine last-ditch tackle.
Then, once again, Eze would come close to the opener. Outside of the box, an absolute rocket crashed off the bar to deny a goal-of-the-season contender.

Following the break, the second half would see little action.
The visitors came close in the 55th minute following a strike on the box's edge which rattled Matt Urwin's post.Following that, Eze would have the opportunity in the 76th minute to find the far corner but would be denied a goal with Gash clearing it off the line.
Then, with five minutes to go, Tom Carr would be denied a match-winner by an outstretched Crook, which looked certain to reach the far corner.
Chorley will be hosting fourth-placed Scunthorpe this weekend, and it will be a chance to get back to winning ways.
