A message from outgoing owners Ken Wright and Graham Watkinson…
It has been our privilege to be the custodians of Chorley FC through a period of huge highs, a few lows and almost everything in between. We’ve enjoyed every second of it and hold the club dear to our hearts. However, it has become increasingly clear over the last couple of seasons that for the club to continue to progress to where we all want it to be, it would need new investment from people with the drive, hunger and finance that would allow Chorley FC to flourish moving forward.
We believe in Prince Yemoh and his team that we’ve found the right people that will enable the football club to move upwards onto another level. They are good people who we’ve spent the last couple of months with, going through the club covering every base to make sure of a smooth and seamless transition of ownership.
We’d like to thank everyone involved with the club during our tenure for their support – players, staff, sponsors, volunteers and, of course, the fans. Without every single one of you the club wouldn’t be in the position it finds itself in today – the beginning of an exciting new era both on and off the pitch at the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium.
We hope you will give the new ownership as much support as possible moving forward and that, together, the Magpies can fly higher than ever before.
