CHORLEY FC are delighted to confirm that Kwame Boateng has signed on with the Magpies following his recent departure from Liversedge.

Having come through the youth ranks with Bradford City over a four-year period, Kwame made the move to Harrogate Town in the 2018-19 season, eventually moving permanently to Guiseley AFC.

A spell out on loan followed with Farsley Celtic to round out that season, a move that turned permanent, before, again, spending time out on loan at other clubs.

The 25-year old then played for The New Saints in the Welsh Premier League before signing with Sheffield Wednesday to play in their under-23 side.

Kwame re-joined Guiseley in September of 2022, making 29 appearances in that season before moving on to fellow National League North side, Alfreton Town, along with Grantham Town and Liversedge to round out the 2023/24 season.

Now fit and back to his best, the full-back is ready to kick on for the 2024/25 season.

Manager, Andy Preece had the following to say upon completion of the deal.

"Kwame is another lad who came in pre-season on trial.

He’s got some experience in the football league with Sheffield Wednesday.

You can see those qualities that took him to that level. He's quick, strong and can play a number of positions, he’s going to be a great addition to the squad.

Another player with a point to prove whose capable of bouncing back into the football league."

Congratulations Kwame and welcome to Chorley Football Club, we can't wait to see you out on the pitch in the famous black and white stripes!
