FOLLOWING the longest away trip of the season, the Magpies are back on home soil.

The visitors for the clash are 18th-place Alfreton Town, who beat Chorley 1-0 at the Impact Arena Stadium earlier in the campaign.

The Opponents

When Chorley last faced the Reds, they were in the playoff places with a game in hand on the Magpies. Now, they sit just ten points from the relegation zone.

Alfreton Town are winless in their last nine league games, with six losses and three draws.

The Red's top goalscorer this season is Jed Abbey, who has scored nine goals this campaign.

Billy Whitehouse was the club's top creator with four assists but has since returned home to Chorley.

So Lewis Salmon, Jed Abbey, Max Hunt and Adam Lund are all level on the assists list, with three.

The Manager

Billy Heath is the man in charge of the Reds.

Heath had no playing career before taking charge of his first job in 2000 when he became the Bridlington manager.

The 53-year-old was in charge in 2006 at the club, where he had a successful story.

After the Bridlington job, Heath went to Frickley Athletic and NF United, where he spent ten years with both clubs.

What followed next was a two-year stint at Halifax Town, where he was in charge for 80 games before moving on to his current club, Alfreton Town.

Since 2017/18, Heath has been in charge of the Reds and has progressed the club in a positive direction, finishing fifth in their last two seasons.

Heath has guided his team to ten unbeaten games, including in the cup, so Saturday's test will be challenging for the Magpies.
