WE’RE back at home this Saturday for the third game in a row as take on Scarborough in the FA Isuzu Trophy Second Round.

The Magpies thrashed Darlington 8-0 in midweek in the Vanarama National League North, Billy Whitehouse taking home the match-ball after his last minute penalty in stoppage time.

Adam Henley celebrates his goal (David Airey)

“Sometimes you can criticise us for not being ruthless enough this season. But in this game we were - we were brave on the ball, we were patient and we mixed it up really well.

“I’m delighted we’ve managed to get another win and get ourselves just under the top four. That’s where we want to be challenging." - Andy Preece

Chorley took on Scarborough Athletic away only a few weeks ago, Carlton Ubaezounu opening the scoring before an unfortunate own-goal against the Magpies saw the game end in a draw.

The Seadogs come into this fixture on the back of a 5-2 FA Cup defeat, albeit against a football league side in Forest Green - who play in League Two.

Our last fixture in the FA Trophy was away at Notts County, where the Magpies fell to an unfortunate 2-1 defeat at Meadow Lane.
