Preview | Carlisle United (h)

WE are back on home soil this Tuesday evening as we host newly-promoted to League One, Carlisle United.

The Magpies fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday and will be looking to put on a better display this time around.

Chorley take on City of Liverpool FC this coming Wednesday, so there should be plenty of opportunities for players to get minutes under their belts as the time ticks on towards the National League North curtain raiser against Brackley Town in less than two weeks time.

“It’s good – the positive is that these are lessons of where we’re going wrong (against Bradford Park Avenue), we’ve got to address those and make sure they’re out of our game for when we play Brackley Town.” – Andy Preece

Carlisle United boss Paul Simpson is someone who our manager Andy Preece knows very well having managed him during his playing days in his first stint as the Blues’ manager.

Our visitors have played four pre-season games so far, winning all four.

Annan (2-1), Gretna 2008 (7-0), Workington (3-0), Newcastle u21s (2-0).
