Back to home comforts this afternoon as the Magpies (12th, 27pts) open December with the visit of Curzon Ashton (16th, 23pts) to the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium (3pm).
The festive period offers up a potential 21 points for Andy Preece’s men to secure as we move towards the midway point of 2022/23 with the playoff places tantalisingly close.
As always our home games are massively important and this weekend is no different in that regard. We want to start what is a busy month in positive fashion and the lads are raring to go – Andy Preece
Curzon Ashton (curzon-ashton.co.uk)
- Founded 1963
- Manager Adam Lakeland (since October 2021)
- Last Season 14th in Vanarama National League North (52pts)
Last Season
A pulsating post-Christmas feast of football at HQ – the Magpies running out 4-3 winners after a late intervention by Jon Ustabaşı.
The return game on Tameside over Easter was a tepid affair, settled by an early first half goal from Tom Peers.
