WE’RE on the road for this first time this season on Saturday as we make the hour-long journey over to Yorkshire to take on Farsley Celtic.

Chorley fought back to earn a valuable and well-deserved point at home last Saturday against Brackley Town, but will be looking to go one better in this one.

“A positive start, a good point on the board against a solid Brackley Town side - a really positive performance from us.” - Chris Anderson

Farsley Celtic have undergone quite a significant rebuild on all fronts during the off-season, namely with player-manager Clayton Donaldson taking over the reigns from Russ Wilcox - who left in July.

The Celts also have former Magpie, Darren Stephenson in their ranks and he scored against league newcomers Rushall Olympic in a 2-0 win last weekend.

Carlton Ubaezounu signed for the Magpies from our hosts this summer and scored a brace when the sides met last October in a 4-3 Chorley win, our most recent meeting ended in a 0-0 draw back in February.
