THE Magpies travel to Buxton to take on 18th-place Farsley Celtic in the Vanarama National League North.
Chorley will be looking to bounce back following a defeat against Chester last Saturday.
The Opponents
The Celt Army have been in a rough patch as of late, with only one win in their last five games. The team, which is ground-sharing this season with Buxton, will be looking to put things right when the Magpies visit The Tarmac Silverlands Stadium.
Farsley have suffered two big defeats in their last five games, a 6-0 defeat away from home against Scunthorpe and a 5-1 defeat on the weekend against South Shields.
Ben Atkinson is the club's top goalscorer this season, having only four goals so far. Meanwhile, the two chasing the winger are Danny Greenfield and Darren Stephenson, who both are one goal behind the winger one three.
Greenfield, recently left the club to join Radcliffe while Stephenson is a player well known to us, being an ex-Magpie, of course.
The player creating all these chances is Sam Fielding. The midfielder has racked up four assists so far for Farsley Celtic.
The Manager
Pav Singh is the man in charge of the Celts.
Singh, 48, took over as manager of Farsley in September 2024. In addition to his managerial duties, Singh also serves as Farsley's Director of Football.
Having only recently taken charge of Farsley this year, Singh had a playing career before becoming head coach and Director of Football.
The manager had stints at Harrogate Town, Thackley, Albion Sports, and Liversedge.
A word from Preecy
“It’s going to be a really, really tough test against Farsley Celtic at Buxton. An artificial surface in tricky conditions, we’re going to have to be at it right from the get go."
