FOLLOWING a goalless Tuesday evening draw against Peterborough Sports, the Magpies again have a home game at the Grant Store Victory Park Stadium this Saturday.
Chorley welcome former Championship club Scunthorpe United to Lancashire this weekend.
The last time these two met was back in August when Kole Hall bagged his first goal for the club to earn the Magpies a well-deserved point on the road.
The Opponents
Before last Saturday's shock defeat to Rushall Olympic, the Iron had been on an impressive unbeaten run.
Seven games unbeaten, with three draws and four wins. It looked like Scunthorpe United had found some form before making the journey up to PR7.
The visitors for the clash this weekend have two of the best goalscorers in the Vanarama National League North.
Callum Roberts is on an impressive 12 goals so far this season, with Danny Whitehall on 11, the latter has scored in each of the last two games against the Magpies.
As for leading the assists charts, it's the same two.
Roberts is on four, while Whitehall is on three.
So, for goals and assists, Roberts and Whitehall will be the ones to watch.
Former Magpie, Carlton Ubaezuonu is also among the Irons’ ranks - Carlton scored 14 league goals for Chorley last season before moving on last summer.
The Manager
Andy Butler is the head coach of the Iron.
It had been a very good start to life for Butler in Scunthorpe. The 40-year-old coach was unbeaten in the league until September, and since then, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of results.
The former defender has played for several clubs in his playing career, including Huddersfield, Scunthorpe United, Blackpool, Walsall, Grimsby, Doncaster Rovers and Farsley Celtic.
This is Butler's first full season in charge of a club, and his experience cannot be undermined following a good run and a shock defeat. The Scunthorpe manager will be looking to bounce back this weekend.
A word from Preecy
“We all know this is going to be a very tough game, and, we’re relishing it. Scunthorpe are a top side and came into this season as firm favourites for the title, they’re right up there at the moment and we’re going to need all the support we can get for this one to get behind the lads and hopefully, come out of it with the right result in what right now, is a very busy period for us.
