FROM Vanarama National League North action last weekend, the Magpies now turn their attention elsewhere to the Isuzu FA Trophy this Saturday.

Chorley will host Northern Premier League side, Warrington Rylands at the Grant Store Victory Park Stadium in the third round of the competition.

The Opponents

Warrington Rylands currently play in the Northern Premier League, sitting just above the relegation zone in 18th place. Their goal difference keeps them above FC United of Manchester.

Despite their position in the table, the Blues have only lost one game in their last five.

Having lost away to Ilkeston, who are in the playoff places. They have won two and drawn two.

It certainly won't be an easy game when the visitors come to town.

So far, they have only conceded more than three goals on two occasions, with the majority of defeats being 1-0.

Furthermore, Rylands have two players with six goals this season in former Magpie, Ntumba Massanka and Ben Hardcastle.

The Manager

Neil Reynolds is the gaffer for the Blues.

Having only recently been appointed in September of this year, Reynolds is a well-known manager in non-league football.

He managed at local rivals Bamber Bridge from 2016 to 2018, the 47-year-old manager then moved to FC United of Manchester, where he would spend six years at the club before moving on.

A word from Preecy

“A different kind of test this week as we host Warrington Rylands in the FA Trophy. Hopefully, this will present an opportunity and platform for some of our returning players to get minutes under their belts, as well as some freshness and experience for our younger lads.
