CHORLEY FC are delighted to confirm that Tom Carr has signed on with the Magpies following his recent departure from Northern Premier League West side, Leek Town.
Tom joined Leek Town from Stafford Rangers at the start of the 2022/23 campaign, having previously played for Wythenshawe Amateurs and Avro.
Spanning over two seasons, Tom made 92 appearances - scoring 29 times for The Blues. In the 2023/24 campaign, the 22-year old scored 14 league goals (20 in all competitions) in Leek Town's title-winning season.
Manager, Andy Preece, had the following to say after the signing was completed.
"Tom has a lot of potential as he’s come through non-league and not been at league clubs. This means he’s learning all the time and open to improving his game.
He’s hungry wants to learn and showed his quality last season at Leek with all sorts of finishes.
Tom has a great attitude never gives defenders a rest, he will fit in perfectly to how we play.
He had a few options but after I spoke to Tom his Dad and his agent we are delighted he has decided to join us."
Congratulations Tom and welcome to Chorley Football Club, we can't wait to see you in the famous black and white stripes!
