CHORLEY FC are delighted to announce the one-month loan signing of Kristi Montgomery from Blackburn Rovers.

Kristi has spent time out this season with fellow National League North side, Marine AFC - and played against the Magpies earlier this season in the Isuzu FA Trophy.

In terms of outgoings, Sam Bird has headed out to Widnes FC for the remainder of the season on loan, to link up with Jacob Holland-Wilkinson, who is also out on loan there.

Manager, Andy Preece had the following to say upon completion of both deals, in and out.

"Kristi is a player we have been looking at for a while.

We watched him at Blackburn and followed his loan at Marine.

We have patiently waited for Kristi to become available and as soon as we knew he wanted to come to us we needed to find a way of making it happen.

He is an all-round midfielder who gives us lots of different options. We've seen firsthand how good he is already this season.

Thank you again to Blackburn for their help in making the move happen.

To facilitate Kristi, Sam Bird is going to Widnes to get valuable game time.

His opportunities have been limited but on those occasions he's been excellent for us.

Birdy is massive part of us long-term and this loan will help him get match sharp and help Widnes in their challenge for promotion.

Welcome to Kristi and all the best to Birdy on his loan spell!
