Chorley FC are excited to announce the signing of Josh Popoola, who joins the club on loan.
The 19-year old full-back joins on a deal that runs to the beginning of January 2024.
Manager Andy Preece had this to say upon completing the signing...
“Josh is an exciting young player who is highly thought of at Stockport County. We are delighted to have him with us to add to our attacking options.
He’s a player who likes to run at defenders with pace and trickery. Josh has already had a successful loan period at Spennymoor so knows the league well – I’m sure our fans will enjoy watching him play.
I’d like to thank Stockport County for their help in allowing Josh to come to Chorley” - Andy Preece
Josh spent his youth years at Watford before moving on to AFC Bournemouth - earning himself a professional contract with the Cherries.
Having been released from the Premier League side in the summer, Stockport County snapped him up before sending him out on loan to fellow National League North outfit, Spennymoor Town.
Josh will be available for selection to face Rushall Olympic on Saturday.
Welcome to Chorley FC, Josh!
