THE Magpies (8th, 24pts) welcome Kettering Town (20th, 19pts) to HQ tomorrow for our annual Remembrance Day fixture in the Vanarama National League North.

Buoyed by the third straight home league win against Spennymoor on Tuesday, Andy Preece’s men will be looking to add more points to the board against a side without an away league success since early April.

It’s very important we keep our home run going. Three wins in a row is good, but four would be better. We know how difficult a challenge Kettering will present us on Saturday and we have to be ready for it once again – Andy Preece

Connor Hall heads home against the Poppies 12 months ago

A tale of two matches – the first an assured 3-1 win for the Magpies at HQ; a Connor Hall double followed by Will Tomlinson’s late third. Callum Powell replying for the visitors.

Contrast that with the 2-1 defeat down in Northamptonshire this past March. Connor’s late penalty a consolation after goals from Chris Smith & Connor Johnson put Kettering on the way to three points.
