FOLLOWING a dramatic 1-2 away win at Spennymoor Town last Saturday, the Magpies return to home soil for this weekend’s battle against second-place Kings Lynn Town.

The Opponents
The Linnets have had a flying start to the new season and are now on an unbeaten run in the league, with six games unbeaten and two draws.
Following the Magpies’ win away at Spennymoor Town last Saturday, Kings Lynn Town came from behind to make it two defeats at home in a row for the Moors.
Lakeland's side have plenty of goal-scorers this season. Jonny Margetts leads the way with four goals, while Gold Omotayo is close behind with three.
Josh Hmami is the club's most creative player, with two goals and three assists, so he will be a player the Magpies will have to keep an eye on.
The Manager
Adam Lakeland was appointed as the Linnets' gaffer in September of last year and has sought to build upon last season's 18th-place finish.
Lakeland began his coaching career at Blackburn Rovers Women in 2006. He then spent time as a first-team coach at Curzon Ashton, followed by management roles at Northwich Victoria and Farsley Celtic.
Before becoming Kings Lynn Town manager, the 39-year-old returned to Curzon Ashton as manager in 2021.
Following their bright start to the new season, Lakeland will be feeling confident heading to Chorley this weekend, so the Magpies will certainly have to be at their best to go back above the visitors this weekend.
A word from Preecy
“Games against King’s Lynn Town are always tough and this will be no different. Adam has got his team firing on all cylinders and they come into this game on the back of an excellent comeback win against Spennymoor Town in midweek.
We need as much support as possible this week and we’ll be doing our best to put a display on for them and come out with a positive result.”
