FOLLOWING the Magpies' third defeat of the season in midweek, Andy Preece's side will be looking to bounce back against a well-organised Leamington team on Saturday.

The Opponents

The Brakes are back in the Vanarama National League North after winning last season's playoffs.

Leamington currently sits ninth in the division, twelve places better than the closest other team to get promoted this year.

The club's top goalscorer is also the league's top goalscorer, with Callum Stewart scoring an impressive 11 goals this season so far.

Following Stewart on the golden boot chase is George Ward, who has scored three.

As for the players creating the chances for the striker, the Brakes have four players joining in to lead the assist tally.

Anthony Lynn, Rob Evans, Henry Landers, and Tim Berridge all have two assists, giving them a variety of creative threats.

The Manager

Paul Holleran has been in charge of the Brakes for over 15-years.

Since taking charge in 2009, the Leamington boss has done some incredible things in charge of the football club.

Having reached a staggering 700 games in charge of the club in the summer, the 54-year-old celebrated in style by leading Leamington back to the Vanarama National League North on his first attempt through the Southern League play-offs.

In addition to that achievement in the summer, Holleran has also led the club to the Southern League title, another play-off win, and three Birmingham Senior Cups.

Before his time in charge of the Brakes, Holleran had stints in charge of Solihull and Halesowen Town, where he helped both win promotion in 2003/04 and took over Halesowen Town partway through the season.

As well as those two clubs, Holleran also managed Rushall Olympic, where he took them to two playoff spots and the fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history.

An impressive start to the season will make this one of Chorley's toughest games to date.

A word from Preecy

"We'll be looking for a reaction this weekend when we welcome Leamington. Tuesday, we were hurting after the result at Marine and it was one of those nights for us. A credit to Marine for their display under Neil and similiarly, Paul at Leamington knows his side inside and out and it will be a tough test for us."
