SEVEN games unbeaten in the National League North, we are at home again, this time against 20th-place Needham Market.
After last week's heartbreak, the lads will be looking to continue their unbeaten streak, but this time with a win.
The Opponents
The visitors to Saturday's clash have only three wins so far this season. They beat last week's opponents, Warrington Town, 2-1 back in August to get their first win of the campaign.
Kieran Morphew is the club's top goalscorer, with the centre-back scoring twice in last week's 3-0 victory against South Shields.
The visitors' goals have been hard to come by this season, with them scoring eight in only ten games. After the South Shields clash, it was their best goalscoring game so far.
Morphew's goals last weekend came from set pieces, with the defender scoring his first with a tidy back-post finish after a freekick.
For his second, it was a short corner routine that saw Morphew head it home and have a brace inside the first half.
This is something the Magpies will have to be aware of this weekend.
The Manager
Kevin Horlock is the gaffer. The former midfielder and now coach has been in charge of Needham Market since 2020.
The former Northern Ireland international had managed two clubs before getting the Marketmen job.
Horlock has had stints at Chatham Town in the Isthmian League Premier Divison and Maldon and Tiptree in the Isthmian League North Division.
In addition to managing Needham Market, the 51-year-old is the assistant manager of Northern Ireland's Under 21 team.
Before his managerial career, the midfielder had an impressive senior career in football.
Having stints at several clubs, the Northern Ireland international most notably played for West Ham (1991-1992 and 2003-2004), Man City (1997-2003), Ipswich (2004-2006), and Doncaster (2006-2008), among others.
A word from Preecy
“It promises to be another tricky test as we face off against Needham Market this weekend. They come into it on the back of an excellent result last time out against South Shields. We’re keen on building on our existing momentum and getting a strong result infront of what should be a good home crowd once again.”
