WE'RE back on the road again, this time heading back to Spennymoor Town, this time in the National League North rather than the FA Cup.

After Tuesday night's 3-0 victory at home to Darlington, the Magpies will be heading there with confidence and wanting revenge following the cup exit at the end of September.

Momodou Touray scored a brace, while George Horbury added to his tally with his third goal of the season in all competitions against the Quakers in midweek.

The Opponents

They have had mixed results since we last visited the Moors on September 28th.

Taking an impressive point at home to Kidderminster while also crashing out of the FA Cup to Alfreton Town the following week.

However, since the cup exit, they've gone on to win their next two games, both away.

A 3-0 victory at Farsley Celtic then getting revenge at Alfreton with a 1-0 win.

Isaac Fletcher is still the club's top goalscorer, with eight goals in the league, his last coming at home to Kidderminster.

Fletcher is also the most creative player, having two assists for the Moors.

The former Middlesborough player scored the only goal against the Magpies last time out.

The Manager

Graeme Lee is the manager. After being appointed in January this year, Lee has managed an impressive home record.

Currently undefeated at home this season with two wins and three draws, Lee has made the Brewery Field a fortress.

Before becoming a manager, the 46-year-old was a defender, making over 500 senior appearances.

He played at clubs such as Hartlepool United, Sheffield Wednesday, Doncaster Rovers, Shrewsbury Town, and Celtic Nation, where he retired in 2012.

As for his time in management, Lee has been at only three clubs, including the Moors.

He had his first job in management at Hartlepool United, where he led the club to the semi-finals of the EFL Trophy and had a nice run in the Emirates FA Cup, where he took the Pools to Crystal Palace.

Having only stayed at the club for six months, Lee moved on and joined Marske United last summer.

Having a tough situation at the club, the former defender guided them out of the drop zone before departing.

With Graeme Lee's experience in the FA Cup and their strong record at home this season, it will be a tough place for the Magpies to travel.

A word from Preecy

"It doesn't get much tougher in this division than a trip away to Spennymoor Town. As we experienced last month, you've got to be right at it from minute one to get something up there. Obviously, we fell short thanks to a wonderstrike last time out and will be hoping to come away with the right result this time around."
