TWO of our scholars headed for Bodymoor Heath, training base of Aston Villa, yesterday to play against the Premier League outfit’s under-17s.
Daniel Price-Jordan & Harrison Kay, who both made their senior debuts for the Magpies in last week’s 4-0 win at AFC Fylde, were chosen to represent Steven Gerrard Academy (our education programme partners) in the game, which Villa won 3-2.
The 17-year-olds are in their second year of the Chorley FC Education Programme (an important cog in our Hope +Glory Player Pathway) and are part of our National League u19 Alliance squad that currently boast a 100 percent record across league and cup this season.
Both players were on target last week in the 3-1 win at FC Halifax Town u19s.
The next Education Programme taster session for year 11 students, with our partners Steven Gerrard Academy, comes on Monday at Withy Grove Park Astro Turf, Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre (PR5 6YJ) – from 12-2pm.
